Transcendance - De Alternative Carnival Saturday

What a night we had!

The Worship's bar was well stocked with our favourite carnival beer, Carib, the groovy soca was mellow in the background as we set up the night, preparing for the crew and crew who were eagerly anticipating a sweet night! The corn soup was bubblin', the scent of food wafting through the City, the Riddim Warriors in place and we had our tunnel set up, prepared to "transcend" the daily grind of the City streets to the carnival party of the season! All Mighty Sound warmed up the party, the tunes keeping the crowd who was trickling in happy, as they filled their plates with curry chicken, aloo pies, pelau, buying their bottles of bubbly and settling in to what promised to be a hectic night!Ricky Ray came on for a split second, run a chutney tune, then let mr Ché take over the decks! Decks? Needless to say, whatever styles Ché run, de crowd respond, and THAT is how we like it! Old, new, mix up all how, true West Indian flavour, and come 3am, people were begging for more, but hey, it was Carnival Saturday, not J'Ouvert, so the party had to end! Who knows, Carnival in London will never be the same, and we aint talking about NHC here!
